G+H Kühllagerbau: Conclusion of the Corsa e-Rally Cup

In November, after numerous individual races, the first Opel Corsa e-Rally Cup came to an end. The “Altonative Motorsport” team, sponsored by G+H Kühllager- und Industriebau, with its drivers Lukas Thiele and Jara Hain, is very satisfied with the results of the eventful and exciting season. They were able to achieve best times in some of the special stages. However, they also had to overcome setbacks such as an accident involving a rollover – in which no serious injuries occurred thanks to the high safety standards – and a failure to start due to malfunctioning electronics and control units. The highlight of the season, however, was the European Rally Championship (ERC) in Czechia, which took place as part of the e-Cup and which the team was able to finish in 8th place out of 14 despite two punctures. At the end of the exciting e-Rally Cup, our team finished 8th out of 15 in the overall standings. Congratulations!
Organizers and spectators alike were thrilled by each race. And, of course, the technical experience gained by the teams during the first e-season will also be incorporated into the development of road vehicles, for example in battery protection. We are delighted to have been able to support Lukas Thiele’s team in its pioneering and sporting spirit and hope to be able to accompany him again next year.
