Occupational safety and quality at G+H Kühllager- und Industriebau

Some people are willing to take the greatest risks for their safety.

(Henriette Hanke, 1785 – 1862)

The health of our employees is our top priority. Our goal is to comprehensively protect our employees from occupational accidents and health hazards and to create an organization that is as legally compliant as possible. We see occupational safety as a holistic task that is reflected in the design of work tasks, workplaces, work processes, and work equipment, as well as the working environment. To this end, we practice a cooperative, constructive, open, and needs-oriented approach.

We take occupational safety requirements into account as a preventive measure right from the planning/preparation stage of projects, when redesigning workplaces, setting up and optimizing organizational structures, and in procurement processes.

Due to our long-term successful efforts in the ongoing optimization of occupational safety, we conduct annual internal and external audits in accordance with ISO 9001 and 45001.

  • A written mission statement, known to every employee in our company, defines the expectations of managers and employees in the area of occupational safety.
  • Our occupational safety goals, which are also set out in writing, are reviewed annually to assess their implementation and achievement, and new goals are set for the future.
  • Tasks, responsibilities, and substitution arrangements in occupational safety are clearly defined for all hierarchical levels—in particular through written assignments, job descriptions, and anchoring in our organizational chart.
  • The necessary and actual occupational safety qualifications of all employees and managers are regularly determined and recorded in writing.
  • External companies are consistently required to comply with occupational safety rules.

We want our employees to return home as healthy as they were when they arrived at work – that’s why we feel obliged to do everything we can to achieve the agreed goals.
